The studies where we’ve been involved include:
- PRODUCT POSITIONING
- UNMET NEEDS EVALUATION
- CONCEPT TESTING
- PRICING
One of the key challenges with medical device studies, which we pride ourselves on achieving, is discovering and recruiting the right people with the right knowledge needed for the particular research study. Over the years we have enabled our clients to access both low and high incidence respondents – healthcare professionals and the patients themselves.

Case Study
A medical device study requiring careful screening
The brief
We were approached by a UK MR agency to help them test the concept of a novel endorectal cooling device for regional hypothermia during radical prostatectomy.
Our client needed us to recruit very specific respondents, encompassing Urologists, Radiation oncologists and a mix of prostate cancer patient segments. The patient portion had quotas on those who had not yet had therapy, those who had had surgery or external beam or those who had experienced brachytherapy.
Our approach
We recruited patients primarily through healthcare professionals and this required particularly careful screening and analysis of the data. We also set up focus groups in Atlanta, Chicago, New York City, Birmingham, London, Paris, Lyon, Berlin and Frankfurt. Our client moderated the groups in the UK and US and we moderated them in France and Germany (providing a content analysis as a result.)

- Frankfurt
Outcome
Our client was delighted with the quality of the data they received, which stemmed from the careful screening approach.
