Case Study
Searching for that needle in a haystack …
The brief
Our client wanted to find people who could speak of the current situation and future direction with regards to clinical information systems and medical device integration.
The challenge was no-one knew which job titles were appropriate to target to find those with the required knowledge.
10
Different job titles covering the role we needed
Our approach
KQH recruiters started by asking for Directors of Clinical Applications / IT Infrastructure Directors, but were quick to stress the role rather than Job Title. Usually a number of conversations and call backs would follow, as we attempted to drill down to the correct person within a given hospital.
If a potential respondent was interested, we would liaise with our client to ensure their scope of responsibilities would generate a worthwhile interview.
Countries Involved
- France
- Germany
Outcome
The job titles involved were very varied, across hospitals as well as countries. For example, we spoke to CIOs, IT Risk Managers, Heads of Scientific Computing etc
By not being hung up on Job Titles, we managed to reach those best placed to give input on the current and likely future direction of clinical information systems and medical device integration.
