Biotech and Molecular Diagnostics research is a relatively new area and the data and insight available around the globe is often fragmented. Increasingly though health services are putting greater systems and standard procedures in place and more insight is becoming available.
We have been involved in this area right from the start and already have a proven track-record in recruiting lab directors, technicians, biomeds and microbiologists for a wide range of studies.

Case Study
Supporting a Japanese client’s study on In Vitro MDx in Oncology
The brief
Our client needed to better understand the landscape of In Vitro MDx in oncology and was intending to gather information through self-completion surveys and phone interviews.
They called on our help to recruit pathologists and lab directors in the UK and Germany and to conduct the research.
Our approach
We initially recruited Pathologists & Lab Directors, but quickly discovered that the information our client was hoping to discover could not be gathered through the self-completion surveys. Respondents were unable to answer all the questions, as their labs were not managed as envisaged.
We then switched to conducting two exploratory TDIs per country to assess who could answer different sections of the research and how much MDx in oncology varies by hospital and region.
Countries Involved
- UK
- Germany
Outcome
Our client was armed with a realistic picture of the very varied manner in which In Vitro MDx was carried out at that particular time. This enabled him to be clear with his client on why the original study was not feasible at this moment in time and to suggest alternatives.
